The Impulse IQ Adjusting Instrument® is a patented and FDA registered device specifically created to deliver gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments to the joints of the spine and extremities to relieve pain and restore function. The Impulse IQ Adjusting Instrument® is controlled by micro-computer circuitry housed within the device that produces a controlled force used to treat different areas of the body. Impulse adjusting is a new technique developed to provide controlled treatments to the specific areas you’re having trouble with.
Dr. Terri Hamilton uses the Impulse Adjusting Instrument to provide this treatment rather than the traditional manual methods.
Impulse adjustments are high-tech. There is no popping or cracking with these adjustments, but rather very precise and targeted adjustments designed to specifically care for just the right areas.
Years of research have gone into the development of the Impulse IQ Adjusting Instrument® to create gentle chiropractic adjustments that are safe and effective for patients of all ages.
The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a type of manipulation using a spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument which provides a quick, low-force impulse at specific points.
There are two theoretical advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment. The first is based on the speed of the device. The instrument is so quick that the body's muscles are less likely to tense in response, and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment effectiveness. The second is that the applied force is localized and does not add any additional torque or bending movement to the joint.
TTAPS (developed by Dr. Alan Bonebrake, D.C.) requires no drugs, surgery, decompression, massage, acupuncture, machines, popping of joints, and little or no pain.
Tapotement (a tapping manipulation) to Tangoreceptors (nerve receptors responding only to touch) to induce Anodynia (freedom from pain) by correcting Proprioceptive information (sensory nerves giving the brain information concerning body movements and position) for Sanative (healing) Effect.
The basic premise: TTAPS utilizes Hilton’s Law of Physiology*, correcting faulty nerve signals going to your brain from your skin, resulting in: Immediately measurable effects, usually including dramatically: Increased: Range of Motion and Strength Blood and Lymphatic flow Balance Overall sense of well-being Decreased: Pain Muscle Tension Hypersensitivity Burning sensation Numbness and Tingling Coldness of Hands, Feet, Nose, Ears
*Hilton's law of Physiology: The nerve that innervates a joint also innervates the muscles that move the joint and the skin that covers the attachments of those muscles.
Rapid Release Technology is a high speed vibration therapy that can make a difference in your life. Rapid Release is a proven, patented and versatile device that is safe and effective on a wide variety of minor aches and pains.
